This place is truly special. I stood outside for about five minutes, just admiring it and thinking to myself, "Look at this!" When I finally walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. I tried nearly all of the flavors before settling on the butter pecan, and let me tell you, it blew me away. It was absolutely delicious and brought back some of my fondest memories of my time with friends during the Vietnam War. If you're considering treating yourself to a scoop of this creamy goodness, you won’t regret it! Thank you all, and have a wonderful day!
During my restaurant and ice cream explorations this week, The Orange Octopus stood out to me as the only spot with zero negative reviews. This reputation is certainly well earned. I was not surprised when I left with some of the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted. I tried the Kentucky Honey Bourbon, Gator Tracks, and possibly some hazelnut—I can't quite remember. It was incredible! My only regret is that I didn't visit this place sooner during my vacation.
I had a non-local who regularly visits that suggested I try the Orange Octopus, and my family was extremely pleased with the ice cream. It's a drive for us to get to Siesta, but OO has now made us reconsider making more trips out that way! We got chocolateand coffee ice cream. Both were excellent.
This is some of the best ice cream we had!!! Should I say it's better than Big Olaf?? I think that's it! I tried the honey Bourbon Pecan and the sea salt caramel. Amazing!!! My friend had the Gator tracks and loved it. Try it. You'll be so glad you did. Book a table now
We come back each year when visiting from out of state. This is the BEST ice cream! Super creamy and flavorful and be ready for the big portions. Perfect treat after a day at the beach. Highly highly recommend.
This place is fantastic! They offer fresh homemade ice cream, as well as freshly brewed coffee and espresso. My family tried six different flavors of ice cream, and each one was excellent!
The ice cream here is of outstanding quality, even better than what you'll find at Big Olaf downtown. Plus, the staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful!
