Ritters Skc - Table reservation

So now that everybody is vaccinated and boosted, we are slowly going out again. Ritter's was a place that was high on my list to re-visit, because this place was the bomb back before the pandemic. First walking in, it was kind of a shock, a depressing shock, many tables and chairs removed, only one cook, one waitress and only one party of two, sitting inside. Place looked like a ghost town. Kind of hesitant to eat here, but we were hungry and everybody was like, just go for it. Its too bad, while we enjoy the food here. It's been a combination of recent experiences with Ritters that had left a bad taste in our mouths. This most recent one was a few days ago, the guy answering the phone wasn't the most pleasant, you could tell he wanted to get off the phone asap. I cant imagine why cause when I got there, there was so little people in the restaurant on a weekend. So much so he didnt bother to ask what spiciness level for my house pan roast which is now $26 btw, he just assumed and put down a 3 out of 10 level and then to top it off when paying him in cash, and I dont care how much the change is, you dont assume the change is for your tip and dont even bother giving...

Oh boy, where do I even start. I must say I used to love eating here. I came in on a Friday night looking to dine in. There were about 4 other tables, so not too busy. Yet it took probably about 10 minutes to get our order taken down. We asked for water, but didn't get it until we had to as again when the food arrived. Food arrived in to-go containers and the water was only bottled for $2.50 each. Basically I should've just ordered to go. Instead, the bad service and presentation has left a sour taste in my mouth. Definitely the last time I will be eating at ritters. Honestly I felt weird even tipping. The server never asked us how everything was and when he dropped off the food to our table...

Simple menu, but the house pan roast is one of the best. If you've been to the Oyster Bar at the Palace Station Casino in Vegas. This place offers a similar pan roast if not better. With less of a wait. You can sit down and get served at a normal dining pace. I'm so glad we found this spot. Now we don't have to wait an hour in line to get seated like in Vegas. The server and cook are awesome. I highly recommend and will be back soon!!!
