We had a great time at the River Crab on 4th of July. The weather was spectacular so we decided to sit outside. It was perfect - the yellow umbrellas and the blue sky and water made a serene setting. Our waitress was attentive and met all our needs. The food was excellent and we hated to leave. We will definitely be back and I have been spreading the word about this place. Watching the boats on the water is a big plus. We hope to come back for a sailboat ride and lunch now that is being offered during the week.
Very overpriced, underwhelming food. My wild mushroom risotto was $41. No wild mushrooms, just mushrooms I can buy in a grocery store for 89 cents to $2.99 a package (depending on the store. $9 for four small slices of garlic bread, very basic cheap bread. Yikes!
Great food and our server was awesome! They keep the side door open for the servers to reach the patio. It was way too cold and breezy in that location next to the windows down stairs so we asked to be moved and they did. This was lunch time so not super busy.
If you want to go to a fancy restaurant, with a fantastic view, awesome food, and even better drinks, try the Riva Grill.

Service was slow. Waitress got order wrong, resulting in one entree being served 10 minutes after the others. Great location.
Another one of our highlights in Lake Tahoe! We were part of a group and they served an outstanding buffet.
