Came in tonight, was sat outside for a couple of hours with some friends. I took my daughter to the toilet and the barman was really rude. He told me to put a mask on to take her which I can understand, then asked me...if I was buying a drink which obviously I was and had been for the last hours and his response was if you’re not buying a drink I aren’t telling you where the toilet is, not even to tell my year old where the toilet was. I confronted the young girl outside, she was great. She even said she couldn’t say anything as he was her supervisor and said he can be like that at times as he was under a lot of stress. Stressed or not you’re serving customers and they weren’t very good cust...

This pub has a very good selection of ales brewed locally by Ossett Brewery and also on the premises by Riverhead. The setting, at the bottom of the main street in Marsden opposite the picturesque confluence of two rivers is idyllic we sat outside...watching the ducks and world going by for several hours whilst supping the excellent real ales. The young man who was serving outside admitted he didn’t fully understand the range of ales, but was very helpful and efficient finding out the beers on offer. The drinks were also very good value, in my opinion. A very pleasant afternoon and I would definitely return.

Had to eat downstairs at a tiny table with dogs sitting around where I ate. Had fish and chips that were overpriced for the size of the portion and were poor value and not overly nice. Have been several times but always eaten upstairs ..won't be eating there again. To cram diners onto such tiny round tables is ridiculous and if the Riverside wants to serve meals downstairs then get some proper tables for people to eat it from and BAN dogs from the pub!

During my stay at the Old Swan for a few days, I was delighted to find the Brewery Tap just across the bridge. What a stroke of luck! The pub had a great variety of real ales, and the young, enthusiastic, and skilled team serving them, along with the welcoming locals created a wonderful pub atmosphere. This quickly became our favorite spot for the week. I will definitely be returning in the future. Great job! Book a table now

I dropped in here for a quiet pint or three whilst my wife was having a quite time ion the narrowboat. Great beers, apparently brewed on site........and pork pies to die for. I loaded up on these delicacies for the canal travels, promising to stop...here on the way back for dinner. Alas this was not to be. But great find in Marsden. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had a couple pints of the dark stout, brewed on the premises. Wonderful brew: dark, rich, with a hint of raspberry. The staff were more than friendly and gave knowledgeable descriptions of the ales they served. Sat outside by the riverside and a lovely afternoon...in Marsden. Our first visit and we will be back for more..!

I recently spent a weekend in Marsden and visited the Riverhead with my wife and dog for most of it. The selection of beers was vast and of excellent quality. The bartending staff were fantastic, with quick service even during peak hours. This pub is truly outstanding.

Night out with friends for special occasion and decided to stop for some drinks. Nice selection of beers and ciders and took part in quiz night which we won. Staff were friendly and recommended different beers to try
