Often grab a roast pork roll from here if driving past (even if that involves s very big detour to make sure I am driving past). Hubby invited guests without prior knowledge and dropped the news on me with about an hour to spare and made mention that these people always lovemy roasts. With the threat of seriously injuring him for the lack of warning,I gave him the job of going to the Roast Kitchen to grab meat of his choice and spuds whilst I whipped up the salads. Crisis averted. Came home with Roast lamb and pork (with amazing crackle ) and spuds to die for - only issue now is these people are going to want this every time not my cooking .The ease far out weighs the cost and even for a sin...

This little place will polarise people. The food is traditional and the gravy made from scratch, but it's not super salty cardboard box gravy with MSG like they serve in pubs, it's real gravy made with love just like grandma's. The apple sauce for my pork was slightly sticky and spiced lightly with cinnamon, the pork was tender and a generous serve and the roast veggies were soft rather than crisp, but otherwise flavoursome. There was also a reasonable serve of pork crackling - not fatty and just about perfect. But it comes at a price - was a tad over $28 for the dinner roast and a small Coke. If you crave spicy zingy food, this place won't do it for you, but if you remember grandma's Sunday...
Lucky the company was good, as the Sparking water from the fridge was the only good thing about this place. Clean and basic cafe. Mmmmm Carvery/Roast lunch with meat and vegetables. As a pescitarian I can usually find something to eat on a menu but here nigh on impossible !The meat was super fatty and inedible and the overcooked vegetables lacked imagination, texture and taste. No offer of a vegetarian option apart from a plate of the vegetables for the same price. Oh maybe an healthy salad I think - but No they were all limp and looked more than a day old.A real shame for the family who had travelled from interstate to be there.
I ordered delivery from the Roast Kitchen tonight to save me heading out, and ordered the warm roast with 2 side salads, and the apple crumble. The roast and salads were huge - plentiful serving. The roast and garden salad was nice, and the chat potato and prosciutto salad was average. The crumble for dessert was delicious. I enjoyed my meal, with dessert being my favourite, however I'll try somewhere else next time. Book a table now
I visited the roast kitchen along with three friends. Overall we were very disappointed with the quality of food and price. Admittedly the 'large plate' had lots of food but for $32 you would want to hope so considering it's not really a 'eat in' restaurant. The food itself was tasteless and bland which all of us agreed on, even the gravy they couldn't get right. Very disappointed! Wouldn't visit there again.
Visit at lunch time and the roast dinners we had were delicious and cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. We even took a dinner home as take away and again even at home it was just as good. We'll be back for more and this place cannot be faulted. Just good old fashioned roast food and I will be recommending it to family and friends. Well done to the owners.
I like this place. they get a teller with a lot of sweet and a good portion meat. Maybe they could be a bit faster to get it on the table, but otherwise it's a good experience. well worth the visit.
as I mean, this place has fabulous roast meat, which is cooked with its choice of sweetness on the side to perfection. the only thing is their high price. Book a table now
Perfectly cooked choice of roasts and also lamb shanks etc. Wide choice vegetables. Clean but very simple furnishings. BYO. Generous helpings.
Really nice good old fashioned food. Service was great ! It reminded me of eateries/carveries in the UK.
