The cook at the establishment was really rude when I asked to have my burnt onion rings remade. She only wanted to replace one onion ring then proceeded to grab it off of my tray with her bare hands (I also watched her prepare someone’s salad without gloves which is not a good look during flu season and all). At that point I was really disappointed and wanted my money back. However, The manager was nice and replace my entire side order. This is one of my favorite restaurants and I would hate to let one bad seed ruin my experience but this encounter disgusted me and made me second guess where I spend my money.
Excellent food and welcoming service. The dining room is clean and cozy, making it a great spot for families. I plan to return to try the BBQ next time. This place reminds me a lot of a restaurant in Columbia called Rush’s. The burger was fantastic, the fries were crispy, but the onion rings had a bit too much breading for my liking. Overall, it’s a good option for a quick and tasty meal in a pleasant, clean setting.
I wanted to love this place cause the food is soooo good .. however … a bbq place with no Mac and cheese?? Come on now … I got 2 bbq plates and a bbq sandwich. I was told 46.00 at the speaker and when I asked her how it cost that much it was still almost 40.00 . I didn’t even get a drink with my plates . I really should have drove the hour to dukes in walterboro .
Our favorite barbecue in North Charleston. Personally, I could swim in their hash. Old school, SC barbecue- not like the new-age stuff the hipsters are pushing. Clientele is mostly folks who appreciate the traditional way of doing things. If I had to find one thing to complain about, it's their sides. While good, nothing is life-changing. Book a table now
One of the best joints in town for awesome BBQ, burgers, and, not to mention, the BEST onion rings you will ever find. It's a shame that this is the only location and they close rather early in the day. But, if you can get here, this is a MUST do for the area.
The bbq was amazing. The onion rings are to die for. I just love this place. I moved to Ohio and we come back every year, which is a must. We also get a gallon jug of the bbq sauce to bring back with us. Great customer service. Great people that work there.
I am not going to be a jerk and give this business a bad review but I was a bit disappointed. I have hard time calling a place a BBQ reasturant when the only bbq is pulled pork. Folks were nice enough though.
Every time I come to Charleston I have to come to Roberts to get my pulled pork BBQ sandwich Carolina style with coleslaw along with onion rings and sweet tea. Book a table now
The food is tasty, but the hours are inconvenient. They close around 3 to 4 PM each day, making it difficult to stop by for dinner.
