I made a reservation at this place and we couldn’t make it due to one person in our group testing positive for COVID! A guy called and I told him we weren’t able to make it and I APOLOGIZED for forgetting to call! He was very rude raise his voice and told me “you didn’t even bother to call” and hang up!!!!!! A hidden gem of a neighborhood restaurant (but not the prices). The building was originally a stop along the Erie Canal and includes a main dining room that was a general store, a bar that was a bar restaurant and lodging rooms upstairs. Food was excellent. Amazing meal! Everything was so delicious. The restaurant is lovely and a place where you can have a conversation without a lot of background noise. Staff was courteous and attentive.
Quiet, cozy, quite elegant. Steaks were cooked perfectly, just a bit too salty. Everything else like the soup potatoes were also cooked perfectly.
