The restaurant is a vegetarian restaurant which also serves fish and egg dishes. Inside it is like a fresh breeze everything is so airy,bright, and everything is made to order they don't have food on display.The quality of food- the best I had on the island.They do fantastic options of smoothies and deserts- wider selection than many other places. Staff are welcoming and friendly, prices are reasonable.I wish I discovered this earlier on in my holiday as I struggled with food options on the island.
The plant based burger served here could be served in Burger King with most people being unable to tell that it was not made from beef. This is the way forward for vegan food because when consumers can't tell the difference it will go main stream. Personally, I could tell the difference but prefer this to a beef burger; and the bun was much better. A pleasant surprise to find in a back street of Puerto del a Cruze.
We were just going down from the botanical gardens to the city, when the name Roots caught our attention. As incarnated vegetarian, it was just what we looked for. We had a light meal and fruit juice and it was excellent. Unfortunately we had no time to try the evening dishes, but we are sure we wouldn’t have been disappointed. The service was very friendly and humoristic. We certainly recommend this place.
Turned up just before closing so not ideal but friendly staff were accommodating. We had 2 Buddha bowls which were good if a little rushed and nice vegan chocolate cake to follow. Also good range of craft beers and wine. Well worth a try.

We went here hoping for a good healthy vegetarian lunch and were very pleased. We had the Budda bowls and veggie burger would recommend, in fact we went back and had the same for dinner on another day. Great find.
I stumbled across this place when I was walking around puerto. Friendly staff and delicious food. I thought it took a little longer than it should have but it was well worth the wait.

It took over an hour to get sandwiches and after we said about it, the waitress was rude. The food is basic.
