I am a hard critic of restaurants, well informed about eating and grew up in French cuisine. I often leave a meal with a long list of things that I wish would have done better or different. but not in le roscanvec: everything was almost perfect. the food: all the items on the plate were perfectly cooked; sauces supplemented (instead of exaggerating the ingredients; and all the items on each plate were made perfect sense (not extra, nothing was banged together, all played a part in the whole plate. if a boil black garlic can add to seafood without its palate or overwhelming the sea flag that shows a really deft hand! the service: the personal could (and open should give seminars about “good s...

visited le roscanvec for the second time, something worried that the magical experience I had a year ago would not be repeated. I don't have to worry. we chose the menu hedoniste where the cook decides what to cook for them as we like...surprises note that they can let the personal know if there is something they don't get sharp. two seafood dishes, the second with lobster, followed by one of the most tasty cuts of the kalbs ever. as with my previous visit, the staff were a charming and attentive staff with a light touch. if they need a reason to visit vannes, then that is

we had an excellent meal. restaurant with very complex cooking possibilities. excellent service. the wee of the glass were quite expensive, although there is no price list that I found disturbing. we were told that the restaurant had lost its Michelin star, which I found surprisingly; we had a better eating in this restaurant when we had staring in restaurants. the restaurant is not cheap, but is quite expensive for what is offered.

What a great meal the best we had in France this trip. The amuse bouche was sensational just saying a slow cooked egg doesn't begin to do it justice. Each course was of an equal standard. It's not cheap, but for a treat well...worth it. Booking essential.
