Rose Thistle Public House

The Rose and Thistle is my neighborhood bar and I always felt welcome there until 08/03/23. The week before a man had harassed me, calling me every name in the book and even following me out the door, I defended myself and he backed off. However the next time I went there the bar tender Mandee who witnessed him harassing me was sitting at the bar, I apologize for creating a Kurfuffle, but the bar tender working asked her permission to serve me. Mandee told me the man who had harassed me was there, but she wasn't concerned for my welfare, she was concerned for his. Great food, but if you get harassed expect the staff to think that's okay.

Loved the patio but the whole experience was ruined by a regular named Jack or John who joined multiple different tables and talked very inappropriately to the women at the tables. It was extremely distracting, to the point I almost said something. Really unfortunate he was able to disturb so many guests without intervention from the staff. He cat called the server many times but she simply ignored it without understanding how it was impacting other guests. If he is there during my next visit, I will ask for a refund and promptly leave.

This restaurant allowed me to be harassed by one of their regular patrons and when I stood up for myself almost refused to serve me. So if you think it's okay for women to be verbally abused by men and then when they stand up for themselves to be condemned by Mandee the waitress than they have great food and you should go there.

Good food at a good price! All the comfort foods. I like sitting out back on the covered patio. They have weekly events. Easily could become your go to for alone times or with a group.Food: 5/5

Went with a largish group. Had a good time. Moscow mule was not good. Burger was very tasty.Food: 4/5
