I have no idea if they had a different cook or what in the world happened, but I went about a month ago and the food was good, portions were nice. The service did take over an hour but the good food made it worth the while.On this second visit, I was beyond disappointed. I won’t return. The wait time was 1hr and 30 mins for our food. Ordered the same thing as last time but the portion was not even half of what it was the first time. Our appetizer took 40 mins and was burnt. This staff said they were serving 3 restaurants from one kitchen so that’s why they took forever. I’m honestly confused by the positive reviews this place has received. I wouldn’t choose to eat here again. We visited over Memorial Day weekend, and the food was completely lacking in flavor. The charcuterie was presented nicely, but it was just what I’d call ordinary Italian deli meats and bland cheeses—far too expensive for what you get. If we hadn’t already ordered main courses, I would have walked out. We tried the carbonara and chicken parmesan, and I wouldn’t recommend either. The carbonara was plain, and the yolk wasn’t even mixed in—you had to do it yourself, which defeats the whole idea of a creamy, silky sauce. We had been eager to try Rosewood Kitchen since moving to Oceanside a year ago, but our visit last week was disappointing. We ordered two appetizers, the carpaccio and the croquettas. While I can't comment on the carpaccio, the croquettas were flavorless and tasted like plain dough balls. The service was very slow despite only about five tables being occupied. It took around 25 minutes to receive our drinks and almost twice that long for the appetizers.
This restaurant really shines when it comes to Brussels sprouts; they were so delicious that we completely forgot to take a photo! We also had the garlic noodles with katsu, which I could have enjoyed forever. The live music set the perfect mood for a date night. They have an excellent selection of draft beers, and the red sangria I tried was light and refreshing. We highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

I ordered the Garlic Noodles with Chicken Katsu. Although the dish was flavorful, it turned out to be just average overall. On the other hand, the garlic edamame and Brussels sprout appetizers were fantastic. The live music, however, was a bit too intense for a dinner setting. Personally, I found the mix of Flamenco music and Heavy Metal to be overwhelming while dining. On a brighter note, the customer service was excellent.
Our server was very nice! The patio had a good vibe to it. I ordered the Juicy Lucy burger w/o bun. The presentation was great, but the $23 burger was just ok. I 've had better burgers that were not as expensive. Also, I was shocked to discover that they charged for soft drink refills. I don 't live in the area, but I will skip this restaurant the next time I visit Oceanside.
We ordered 4 tacos and a burger and it took over an hour to get our food. We were one of two tables when we sat down. One table that came after us got their food and ate it and left before we ever got our food. The tacos were good, my burger was good too, fries were cold!Felt someone should have said something on why it was taking so long or apologized.
Had the Juicy Lucy burger again! So awesome! And Tiramisu for dessert; also awesome! Great food, great service, lots of dogs on the patio to meet and greet our dogs! Going to try the chicken parmigiana next visit.

Service was great, however the burgers were not good/ rare-uncooked inside (we ordered medium well) and too runny with sauce in my opinion. Maybe that' s because they usually don't serve burgers on their menu?
