Wow. The lamb, pea and mint pie was so very tasty. Best pie we have had so far in the Cotswold and my burger was amazing. Best burger ever. The oak smoke added so much flavour. Fresh ingredients. Staff very friendly and all in all a fantastic dining meal out . Totally recommend . Just gutted we were so full we could not fit a pudding in, but that can be sampled next visit
we were in painswick about the holiday (new year 2018) and had the opportunity to visit the royal oak pub several times, as it was several hundred meters away from our place. service was good. the food was delicious. atmosphere comfortable. I hope to be back in warmer attempts to enjoy the courtyard in the open. great way to get this disc of life.
Dropped in on Sunday afternoon with muddy boots and a dog. Lovely pub, friendly staff, and possibly the best roast beef lunch I can ever remember. Fresh, nicely cooked veg and a side of cauliflower cheese. Splendid
