First time here and will be last .Met up with freinds havent seen in 12 months came here for lunch so many issues here first was bar staff had no personality skills at all seem a effort to serve you.Then seen menu board for lunch not much variety but understand of the main highway but $10 lunch meals sounded good till we got them .There was 4 of us one had sweet and sour pork . Mmmm the battered pork was burnt 8 pieces fimble of plain rice and must have ran out of sweet and sour .One had fish and chips with salad well fish smelt weird and was crumbed salad consistent of one bit of lettuce quater tomato and slice of onion and fish burnt.The last two had beef burgers well beef was a processed...
Went in here for the $10 lunch on Thursday , meeting family there, was greeted by a cranky unfriendly barmaid who it seemed like serving us was an effort for her, then after finally serving us and we asked about the lunch menu she promptly advised us that the chef was rude , cranky and not very good, seriously this is their own chef she was talking about, we decided to go against her advice and checked out the lunch, and we are not sure what the chef has done to her but we found him nothing but polite and helpful plus meals were great and priced even better, do yourself a favour and get the schnitzel
Had a catch up with friends, at the Pub and as usualthe drinks were icy cold, the service excellentand the food brilliant.Just love this pub, the locals are friendly, the dinning room huge(so great for a party)back deck wide and bright, back yard grassed and heaps for room for the kids.well worth the visit.kitchen staff and wait staff, just lovely and friendly
We arrived late looking for ANYTHING to eat and were very pleasantly surprised by the beer on tap but especially the food. The chef whipped us up a fantastic fried platter of assorted fish & seafood. The mussels still in the shell were a unique treat! And all locally sourced. Our favourite off-the-beaten-path stop to-date!

I'm not a traveler but I want everyone to know what an amazing pub meal this is, the selection is the biggest I've ever seen for $10 each and the BEST chicken schnitzel I have ever ate anywhere, it so good I haven't gotten to try any of the others. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
We were a group of 18 Bowlers who arrived for dinner and were made to feel most welcome. The food was superb with a wide range that suited all our group at good prices. The Bar was also good with a good selection of refreshing drinks.
We have stopped here twice. The first time for a beer the second for a beer and a meal. Read the bad reviews and was apprehensive about going for a meal. Service was awesome and food excellent. We will be going back!
Went there recently with a few mates. The barmaid who also works at the Kendall RSL is rude and absolutely has no customer service skills whatsoever. In future I just go walk out if she's serving behind the bar.

Enjoyable meal at the pub. $15 chicken snitzel night...6 different toppings...chips and salad, quite enjoyable. Cold beer looking over the water. Good service.
Typical pub food and service but easily rates as a 5 star pub for its location and view of the Hastings River.
