Visited today with my partner , awful customer service, stood by the bar for 10 minutes waiting to be served, didn’t have any acknowledgment that I was even there , not even a “I’ll be with you in a minute, just a little busy “ NOTHING . The woman behind the bar so miserable. Ended up walking out and went to the globe instead, which was such a better atmosphere and beautiful food .
Well I hadn’t been here for about 20 years so was a bit apprehensive. We moved back to porthcawl 12 months ago so I’ve been checking out restaurants and was a bit put by some of the reviews. All I can say is that this was great pub grub at amazing value for money. We will definately be returning. Beer was great and the service was excellent. Couldn’t fault it
Visited today for lunch, met with grumpy staff who couldn't even be bothered to look at us when giving our name or ordering. The guy sat at the table giving out table numbers. He really needs to take some gappy pills. Customer service all around was atrocious!
Having booked over a month prior after all the reviews for their “Best” Sunday Roasts, when we arrived we’re informed they don’t do Sunday roasts. Very poor customer service so we decided to leave very disappointed. Book a table now
Been going hear for years but slowly going down hill so won't go back. I am dissapointed tho had food used to be fabulous. Changed to fries instead of chips! And meals getting smaller.
Absolutely great value for money we enjoyed our afternoon lunch honest real good food for price range. Staff helpful surroundings great clean and welcoming

Go here on a regular basis. Good pub clean with good beers and good variety of food at great prices. Normally go twice a week. Wed/fri Book a table now
