This gem of a restaurant is accessed from a side lane, and situated upstairs.It is difficult for the elderly and disabled to access, as there is no lift; only stairs to climb. We had a few elderly people in our group, as well as someone with very limited mobility, and they found it very hard to climb up and go down the stairs.The waitresses are very friendly and helpful. The food is authentic, tasty and filling. It can get very noisy when the restaurant is full. And it is always full.I have eaten here a number of times before and it is my favourite Thai restaurant in Chelsea and its surrounds.In summer, you can watch a magnificent sunset from within the restaurant.Amazing views, amazing food...
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing meal you may not find it here. We have eaten here a number of times over the last couple of years and it tends to be busy and gets quite noisy, exacerbated by the tables being very close together. That being said, the food is very good and not too badly priced. It's a little awkward to find and is upstairs. The Thai beef salad is amazing, we have also enjoyed Thai fried rice, chicken & cashew nut stir fry, spring rolls and our friends loved their red curry. It is licensed and BYO (wine).If you are looking to try this place, I highly recommend booking ahead.
Traditional Thai restaurant that's a hidden gem. Accessible via a side lane door with ample parking at the back. The restaurant offers a wonderful ambience, delicious food and a great wine list. You can BYO bottled wine for a small corkage fee. The menu can be shared or order your own with a sumptuous list if dishes to chose from. Highly recommend the Phad Thai. You can order takeaway, dine in and if you cannot eat all your meal, ask for a takeaway container.
We have numerous thai restaurants near us where we can walk to but choose to travel 20 minutes to Thai Rose. We have had both dine in and take away and never been disappointed. The staff are lovely. We cannot go past the chili basil chicken and cashew beef dishes as have tried elsewhere and not a patch on Thai Rose. Kids love it too. Great ocean view as well.

I have eaten here on a number of occasions. I really love Thai food and they have a great selection of all the favourites and all reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly. It does tend to get a little noisy, but I find that if you manage to sit in the front section, it is less so.
Went for dinner with a bunch of mates, all the food everyone got qas so good. We had a range of meat lovers, gluten free, vegos and vegans and eveyone got a meal they enjoyed. Love thai food, would definitely return and recommend.
Family dinner at Thai Rose Chelsea after busy Sunday was exactly what we needed. Delicious, Affordable. Nice Atmosphere and Friendly Service. Loved it and going back ASAP. Was recommended by niece who had a fantastic 21st there.
Food was delicious! Surrounds lovely but the noise was awful! Couldn't hold a conversation and there weren't that many people there. Glad we went early in the week rather than a busy weekend.

Beautiful little restaurant tucked away in the laneway. Good food, very well priced. Only downside can get noisy and hard to hear as we were there on a Saturday nite.
