"Great afternoon. Gardens are lovely and peaceful. We had a picnic by the canal which was bliss. The hall was good but not very big in comparison to other places we've visited."

the old hall is a nice place to visit for the whole family. the hall is full of historical artifacts throughout the environment with guides to give them information about each room and area. there is a tearoom with sitting area in free and toilets. they also have plenty of seating through the beautiful gardens and the grounds. they can take a circular walk along the canal to mary’s marina where they can sit and look at the narrow boats moor above. a visit in the marienkirche is very worth as it is beautiful in the interior and as many old dig, we found a dated 1703. enjoy them when they decide to go

this is a great place to visit. a lot to see in the house and really interesting. there are also the fantastic gardens to explore the year at any time. there are several suggested walks along the canal and the family church is some of the time open. as they expect with national trust, there is a parking space, toilets and caffe.

historical home of the family hesketh. beautiful original old hall and newer (but still old) supplements. not all interiors are publicly accessible and photography is limited only to the old room, which is a scandal. early to see the gardens and walks best, so will later be back in the year.

Lovely day out. Relatively smaller property but definitely worth a visit. Really friendly and welcoming volunteers/staff who were very knowledgeable about the place. The gardens were beautiful and great for a little walk. Also, great cafe with fresh scones etc.
