I visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch and I can't recommend it highly enough. To start, I had the black pudding fritters, which were coated in a light, crispy batter and served with a delightful wholegrain mustard aioli that complemented the dish perfectly. For my main course, I opted for the roast beef, which was tender and flavorful. The accompanying sides were all cooked to perfection, with a special shoutout to the tenderstem broccoli in cheese sauce (possibly black bomber?) and the gigantic homemade Yorkshire puddings. Without a doubt, this is the best roast dinner I’ve ever had. I went for the beef roast, and it was cooked to perfection. The gravy was delightful—rich in flavor but not too overwhelming—and the vegetables were cooked just right, with a nice crunch. I will definitely be returning soon to enjoy another one of these fantastic roasts. Truly perfection!
The food was excellent, especially the sandwiches. I was pleasantly surprised by both the portion sizes and the quality, considering it was a buffet. There were generous portions of ham and chicken, all of which was delicious. The beer selection was also impressive and quite enjoyable.
I went on Christmas Eve with my two sons, and the food was incredible! The waitstaff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with everything. We will definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you very much, The Ship!
