Booked via email for people to have Xmas lunch Friday Dec as advertised on Miners Peg Marston’s web site (unable to book on line as booking section would not allow you to enter information of time and number of guests etc) Booking...accepted by email for On arrival we were informed that we could not have the Xmas menu if it was only bookable online prior to visiting pub. We came in tonight as a group of two families. All the meals were really really tasty, fresh and hot and great quality. The children’s meals were great, and the rump steak was one of the tastiest we have ever had. The atmosphere was warm...and welcoming, we saw the new owner who was really friendly. We will definitely be returning!
another good visit to the miners. clean pub friendly staff and the carvery was delicious. platz has a children's area and soon gets a new menu with food offerings in the week that I definitely get back for. think they said the employee curry club and steak club!
I use to come here times a week loved it!, Since the pandemic and its back to being fully open the food is awful and the waiting times for food is ridiculous. Very little choice if your vegetarian, and the vegetarian meal I...requested was not available.

I can honestly say that I laughed when I got my order. we came in for a soft drink and a part of chips, and went through. for the smallest part of the frozen chips I had ever received and shocking for a pepsi.! I had. a measly chip, not worth visiting.
perfect small place for short-term eating. great service. the prices are reasonable. and eating is always hot when served. great little last minute place for eating. also for drinks they have a great choice! this place is recommended!

Me and two friends visited here tonight and we were not very satisfied with the food. I could not eat my lasagna. It was awful, very greasy and it was hard. Not happy. I used to love this place so much.

Been going here for years worst meal we have had ,and when you complain they don’t seem to care,my partner ordered another dish as the carvery was not good,after minutes waiting we walked out
