We only lived in Norfolk for a year, but once we discovered this place, it became "our spot," and I truly miss it! We absolutely loved the atmosphere, and the sushi was prepared by someone I assume is the owner, who was also the one serving us. They take great pride in their restaurant and consistently provided kind and prompt service. Every single dish we tried was fantastic and authentic. If I had one day back in Virginia, I would definitely have lunch and dinner here—it’s that delicious and welcoming!
I ordered from my favorite sushi restaurant in town. My husband stuck to his usual Christmas tree roll with salmon sashimi, but I decided to try something new. I went for the House yaki udon, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The noodles were thick and packed with flavor. I asked for extra sauce, which included chicken, shrimp, scallops, crab imperial, and onion. My leftovers the next day were fantastic as the sauce had a chance to marinate. I would definitely order this again!
This is an excellent sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant. I've visited four times this month with my family, and each time, the service and food quality have been consistently high. Overall, I would rate the location a 7/10, the service a perfect 10/10, and the food quality a 9/10. Their sushi is crafted from fresh ingredients, and there are several options available that enhance the overall sushi experience. I would definitely recommend this place to others as well.
The restaurant recently changed management, so some details might not be entirely accurate, but they were very accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the waitress was extremely helpful when I had questions. I ordered the salmon and tuna cucumber salad, and they gave me a generous portion! I also had a roll with shrimp tempura and avocado inside, topped with unagi. I finished my meal with delicious green tea ice cream. I will definitely be back! Book a table now
Kid-friendliness: This place is great for kids, offering high chairs and a bowl with a small spoon for our baby. Our son had a lot of fun. Although the baby was a bit fussy, the staff treated us kindly. This is a charming little sushi restaurant. The customer service and ambiance were both outstanding. We decided to take our order to go, and while we waited, the owner was incredibly friendly and even included a complimentary sushi roll with our order. The food was delicious too! I would definitely return!
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch with family. The service was excellent. The food was very fresh and delicious! The chef was accommodating for a special request. (We were there right when they opened. I would definitely go again when I'm in town.
