We've been going to Sala Thai for years and it's never let us down! Definitely the nicest Thai place in Freo, the service is always super friendly and the food is great. Some of the dishes aren't as spicy as I would like, but the flavours are definitely there! Menu is huge and varied so you can return many times and try something new. I love their red curry, phad phet and som tam. Also, you MUST try their coconut mango and sticky rice and the coconut ice cream, it's just superb! I will be back again sooner hopefully.
Stand out for the night was by far the vegetable and tofu Red Curry. Had the perfect balance of heat and creaminess. The curry puffs were ok, however the tofu tod was uninspiring. Not a whole lot of vegetarian options here which was disappointing. I also had to hail down the waitress to take an order a few times. The owner asking for a tip at the end of the night felt extremely awkward and forced which was an off putting and unpleasant end to the night.
Awesome food and service all the time. The spring rolls and stuffed chicken wings are awesome, the pad thai is tasty and there are many different options for stir fry, noodles, meat, fish, curries and vegetarian options. We always come here to dine-in (they offer Byo wine) and have recently taken advantage of their home delivery service. Dixon and the gang are consistently doing a great job. Well worth a visit.
4 of us dropped in on the spur of the moment as we all had a craving for pad thai. We ordered 2 prawn, 1 chicken and a vegetarian pad thai. Wasn't long before we received our dishes and none disappointed. It was fresh, full of flavour and packed a punch! Service was great and the staff were friendly. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

Always enjoy going to Sala Thai for dinner. Lovely fresh food and is always delicious. Service was great however on leaving we were almost put on the spot to offer a tip on the EFTPOS machine which we found awkward and cheeky... otherwise a wonderful night.
I had the tofu tod, mixed vegetables stir fry and steamed rice. The vegetable stir fry had pretty much no flavour. The tofu tod was ok, but I've had better. Nice presentation with the flower though.
Father's day Treat 2016. Great thai food. Really accommodating with the 3 year old. Super friendly. Would recommend and will be going back to try more of that fresh authentic tasting food.
A great place to go for authentic and well prepared Thai food. A nice location for a restaurant and really good service. Good for special occasions and big groups.
