I had a mixed experience at Salt and Straw in San Diego initially, but this recent visit was much better. The flavors offered are a nice mix of unique and familiar. Despite a long line on a Wednesday evening, it moved efficiently. I tried the coffee and love nuts flavor, which included chocolate covered pecans, and I really enjoyed it. The option for a kid size portion was an added bonus.
I have recommended Salt and Straw to several friends and family members. Even when there are a lot of customers, the staff are friendly. I appreciate getting to sample flavors. I know folks with allergies, and really appreciate that staff pay attention to this when giving people samples. Andrew is a really calm, friendly scooper. Am looking forward to the January flavors

This is likely my 5th or 6th visit to a branch of Salt and Straw. The ice creams here are fantastic, especially the Honey Lavender flavor at this location compared to the one in Seattle. Salt Straw has amazing Ice Cream, it's always excellent. The flavor options are always great and varied. I got a 2 scoop cone and ravaged it : The person who helped us was very nice and the line was handled efficiently. It's a great spot for dessert.
I travel for work and the last time I had some good ice cream, was 2 years ago, and it was custard in the Midwest (WI). But this place made my taste buds happy. Great tasting flavors. Every flavor was one of a kind. They even have vegan options.
Best ice cream in town. The customer service was amazing. The staff was very attentive and cheerful! My son wanted to try lucky charm ice cream for a long time and I couldn't have chose a better ice cream shop!

"Amazing 360 degree views of Seattle and beyond! Makes the Space Needle look tiny from up there, and it's also nice that they offer food and beverages up there. Worth the cost of admission and uncrowded, even on the Saturday we went."
