the look on the outside is not very welcoming with furniture and heat lamps stacked in front of the restaurant. they had a private party and I went to the Mother's Day, so it was very busy. the host also commanded everyone. all pasta on my table was understated and even raw. I told the host, but he never apologized or even offered to take anything out of the bill. they were from a few things and the menu was changed by the one I originally viewed on their website before over a week. that was not good! I'll never go back.
I was excited to try their artichoke flour pizza but was a bit disappointed. 22.00 for a gluten free personal size pizza and I know I ordered prosciutto on it but it was really salty and tasted a bit strange. I didn't complain because I hadn't eaten all day and was so hungry. My husband ordered the orecchiette pasta dish and said mine was so much better. So we paid a lot of money for mediocre food. Our server was attentive so that was nice.
Have been to Salute multiple times and it is wonderful. Beautiful rustic atmosphere, nice staff, simply delicious food. From everything to appetizers, salads the rosemary bread I would highly recommend Salute and will be back. Will note there?s acredit card fee but this hasn?t been an issue. Byob and outdoor dining is nice.
Very nice, authentic place with very good price of BYOB policy (you can call local liquor shop and they can deliver within 5 mins) Food are decent and great. Freshly baked breads and pizza. A most go if you wanna dine out in Montclair

We got the fiche, arancini, gnocchi, side of meatballs, and limoncello cake. Everything was delicious and the portions weren?t overwhelming. The side of two meatballs was a recommendation and we are glad we took it they were huge!
Salute Brick Oven Bistro is an outstanding local spot for Italian food! It was my first visit with my grandsons, and we were all impressed by the exceptional service. The calamari and margherita pizza were my top picks!
I tried contacting Salute Brick Oven Bistro but learned they have closed down. Now I’m stuck with a gift certificate and unsure what to do with it. I definitely won’t be buying a gift certificate there again.
Can?t speak to the price because I was here for a private event but holy lord, the food was amazing! And it?s such a nice little corner place. Every brick reminds you this place has stories to tell!
