It's well known that Sam's is not the greatest restaurant ever, so don't expect it. My family has eaten at this location a couple of times now, and I haven't really been disappointed, nor have I been wowed.The first time I had tried the lasagna. The lasagna was good. The garlic toast was literally toasted Pullman loaf (white bread) with garlic butter. I found that a bit weird.Secondly, I found the Caesar dressing was kraft, or another lower tier dressing. I am a stickler for Caesar salads, so it was a bit disappointing to find McDonalds makes a better Caesar salad...All in all though, the price was reasonable and it was quick. I would eat there again, but I am not going to rush there.
Thanks Sandra for giving us wonderful service .. The meal was great and certainly didn't leave hungry.. We had a choice of four specials to choose from, plus a wide selection from the menu... Everyone of the workers looked like their were enjoying their jobs certainly makes a nice environment.. The place was clean and very large portions and a great value for your dollar..I been a loyal customer to another local family reasturant in Charlottetown for 8 years.... But the last couple of months it has disappointed me.. This is my third trip to sams within a short time.. I give you a thumbs up and vote you my favorite family reasturant !
We visited this restaurant for a quick lunch, busy place and it seemed to flow well. We have visited before and as our previous experiences, the food was okay but we didn't have the same glorious experience others have posted regarding the food and staff. One of us ordered a cheeseburger platter with mayonnaise on the side. When we received the bill, it was a big surprise to see we were charged for the mayo. Who charges for condiments? If you do choose to charge for condiments, wouldn't you at least inform the customer as a courtesy? Nobody likes the feeling of being taken, even if it's just 50 cents. It's just bad business practice.
Sam's serves up good food that is affordable for all. It is a plain spot, nothing fancy, but clean and well kept for sure. This is a spot where you go for a quick, inexpensive meal. They serve a lot of fast food but also serve up sandwiches too and they are really good, I like the bacon and tomato and club myself.There is parking and you are close to everything in Charlottetown for shopping. If in town, drop in and try it out, have your self a meal and spend the day checking out Charlottetown. Book a table now
Sam's is a very popular restaurant, and for a number of reasons.The food is consistent and the portions are large. The staff are friendly and accommodating.I have heard some locals say that Sam's is not polished enough for them. Whether it is the decor or something else I am not sure. Either way I would not want those types of people ruining Sam's. Overall, it is a very good place to eat and Charlottetown. Favourite dish is whole clams with garden salad as a side. The rolls are also great.
Excellent food, huge portions (more than I could eat), and great value. First went for breakfast and then went back later in the day for dinner. Both times staff was friendly, efficient, and very attentive. All in all, it was Sam-sational! Family friendly diner atmosphere.
A lot of people at lunch time. But most of them are elderly people. I can feel that the meal prepared in hurry. One of the worst experience! Just wondering why so many people go there to take meal. ???
