I've been to Samson's Paddock twice for lunch and haven't been disappointed. From the service to the wine and the quality of food, they were all great. In fact because it's a little quieter at lunch, our party of 6 could have a decent conversation and the atmosphere was cosy. Just keep your jacket on at winter time! Also it took a little while for the food to come out but our party was happy in conversation. I just wished they offered us bread while we were having our wine. Drinking on an empty stomach isn't always the best thing! I had a grilled cod with artichoke purée which was simply delicious and friends of mine who had the duck and lamb said while their dishes didn't look so appetizing...
Samson's Paddock is a great little neighbourhood gem. From the moment we walked through the somewhat quirky green door, we were warmly greeted by both the service staff as well as the atmosphere. The food was delicious and definitely designed for sharing. The baked honey camembert and the goats cheese gnocchi were a definite standout, although the desserts were just as great. They do 2 sittings per evening, so the only slight downside is that we had to wrap it up at 8pm for the next guests. But to be fair we knew that up front and we were encouraged to move to the bar area to continue our conversation. Would definitely recommend a visit and will be going back.
What a great place! After a friend telling us what a great place this was we went as a group to check it out. We started with drinks by the lovely inviting fireplace, we told our waiter what we felt like drinking and he made a great recommendation for a bottle of wine we all really enjoyed.We then moved into the dining room for dinner or shared plates, we enjoyed all of them. The arancini balls were so good we ordered extras.Mitch our waiter was helpful and friendly. A great spot with fantastic food and service. We'll be back even though it's a bit of a drive from our local area.
3 of us for a Tuesday lunch. Great time to visit as it wasn't busy. Food and menu were excellent. They also specialize in whiskies and are happy to match with food. We had a Limeburner honey whisky with our deserts what a treat. Will definitely be back. Caution they have two sittings on Friday & Saturdays so if you book the early session you will have to vacate by 8pm.

We had a dinner last night. The steak tasking plate was awesome. The rankin cod was a divine so fresh and cooked perfectly. The waiter was so attentive we were looked after throughout the night. We will be back :)
The food we shared with friends was delicious again. Great service. They even turned the music down for us oldies! Love being able to call this place our local.

Okay, the whole background story of Samson's Paddock really won me over and it was one of the reasons why I couldn't wait to visit Samson's Paddock.
