The food was outstanding, but the service left much to be desired. Even though we were told we could pick any table, we saw the hostess seating other guests before us. Once we were finally seated, we waited at least 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us or offering drinks. After that, it took another 30 to 45 minutes just to place our order, while other tables that arrived after us were already enjoying their food. Our server was hardly ever around and didn’t introduce herself, which made us feel like an inconvenience. This was the worst service I’ve ever encountered. Perhaps she was having a bad day or was new to the job.
This was my first experience ordering from this restaurant. Although the delivery took longer than I anticipated and my soft shell crab arrived cold, I can easily warm it up in the air fryer. On a positive note, the food is absolutely AMAZING! Just a heads up, the spicy crab salad is quite intense! The onion soup was also quite enjoyable. The Ichiro roll was fantastic! My husband opted for the chicken hibachi, which came with a generous serving along with a salad and soup. Overall, I’m quite satisfied. I’m really pleased that I chose this restaurant for dinner tonight!
The review is mixed. The restaurant's name might be a bit misleading; even though they have a hibachi grill, it's located at the back and they don’t prepare food at your table. There is also no sushi bar. While the food was quite tasty, it felt a bit overpriced. The restaurant was very clean—so much so that the only scent we picked up on was from the bleach and cleaning products used on the tables. The staff struggled with timing, as we received our appetizers, soup, and entrees all within just a few minutes of each other. We gave it a try, but we won't be returning.
Tonight, we placed a takeout order and spent $91 on disappointing food. The $20 tower came in a bowl filled mostly with rice and only a few toppings scattered on top. There was so much sauce that it was inedible. The steak tartare lacked any sauce and looked unappetizing—just dry, raw steak. I had specifically requested yum yum sauce, but it wasn’t included. They also forgot the chopsticks. Very disappointing. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning because when I called to express my concerns, they were dismissive and made excuses, showing no care for the issue.

I can barely express how incredible my meal was—I was almost tempted to snag the baby food from the table next to me just to experience those delightful, juicy flavors again! The food was exceptional, and our waitress was remarkably attentive to our needs. I have no complaints about her friendliness and helpfulness; she ensured that I had everything I wanted and more. How dare you provide such excellent service that I actually want to pay for it?! The atmosphere was so calming and serene that my wife didn’t have any complaints about me!
Overall, we had a delightful experience at the restaurant. Although the prices are somewhat high relative to the portion sizes, I understand this considering the current economic situation. Our server was friendly and attentive, quickly resolving a mix-up with one of our child's allergy-friendly meals. They acknowledged the error right away and managed the situation very efficiently.
Fantastic sushi at an excellent price! I only wish I lived nearby. My friends and I ordered takeout, and they were spot-on with the pickup time, down to the minute. Everything was delicious, the portion sizes were just right, and it was very affordable! I highly recommend this place to any sushi enthusiast in central Arkansas.
Appetizers and sushi were delicious, the roasted rice was a little clear. The staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable at any time. Overall we had a very good experience, we will be back.

Samu Sushi Hibachi is a cozy and welcoming spot with an extensive Japanese fusion sushi menu. I really appreciated the freshness of the fish, which made the experience truly enjoyable.
