We've been around here for a few weeks. Service was excellent.. many young employees. Once we were wrongly charged (charged for a buffet, but only ordered the salad bar), but they were so busy, we just let it go. Yummy BLT with chicken soup (reislots). The best white carving I've had for a long time... crispy outside, tender inside. And really good traditional red cabbage. Hubs said the roasted chicken at the buffet was nicely crispy and he enjoyed all the other buffet offers, including buttermilk cake. A southern dessert I've never seen on a restaurant menu! Cool! Here's a light lunch. You have a buffet that looks really good, the food looked fresh and appetizing. I didn't try the buffet, but I'd be in the future. We tried some of the cakes we enjoyed. The cherry cake was made with Meringue, which is a beautiful supplement and tasteful. The staff was very nice, helpful and efficient. This is an old family restaurant and it was very pleasant to find such a place.

Got the buffet. Not bad at $13 .99. Very good buffet with large salad bar, several meat choices , breads, and desserts. The carrot salad was very good and all the salad items were fresh and crunchy. The best meat on the buffet to me was the fried catfish! Everything tastes good, like homemade comfort food. I will definitely be back.
Stopped by on our way back from Galveston to San Antonio. Opted for their buffet and it was so good. Chicken was delicious and so was the stuffed pork loin, and all the sides. Loved their buttermilk pie so much that we ended up buying a whole one to takehome. This will for sure be our stop every time we travel this way.

We went here for lunch and it was what we expected. Decent food at a decent price. We opted to go off the menu rather than the buffet. My Ruben was tasty with good flavor and my wife’s BLT was also good.
