I really enjoyed dinner at the restaurant for a family event. The staff were great and made sure kids meals and entrees came out nice and early. They even kept us in the loop and asked whether we would prefer all meals to come out together or kids first. No other restaurant in Mackay that I've been to does this and I think it's fantastic. So many places just leave you sitting there wondering where your meals are. Kids also ate for free, being a Saturday night! Meals were around the $15-$30 mark, depending on the type of meal ordered. We had a really good dining experience at the Seabreeze Hotel. Our group was fairly big and consisted of 10 adults and 6 children. The children's meals came out nice and quickly, as did the entrees. The main meals came out in a timely manner and everyone seemed to enjoy theirs. My husband and I shared the Seafood Platter (for 2). It was very nice and had a good mixture of fresh, cold seafood and cooked. Only a small portion was the typical deep fried stuff and even it was very nice. The crab was only sand crab which was difficult to eat, but for $65 this was expected - we knew it wouldn't be mud crab. The drinks were well priced and the staff were lovely. Recently visited Mackay and stayed at the Seabreeze Hotel (Slade Point), our group was 4 adults, we ordered meals from the bar, all meals were enjoyed in the large beer garden looking out to sea. The service was good from the staff and also at reception, the accommodation I thought was good value for the money ($110 per night), although the TV was small (more like the size of a desk top monitor), neverthelessis good value if you want to use the room as a base for coming and going in terms of doing activities within the Slade Point area.
This place, like a lot of places in Mackay suffers due to the poor town planning. Unfortunately it is a little off the beaten track, but does sit within a nice part of the Mackay landscape. The view from the Hotel is very nice (try and get there at high tide) and overall has a very relaxing atmosphere. I can't believe the Sunday lunch and afternoon drink sessions are not more popular. I realise this is not Broadbeach, but as far as Mackay goes, this Hotel has a lot to offer. Meals are good quality and very reasonably priced.

We have visited the Seabreeze Restaurant/Pub regularly. It has a nice location just across from Lamberts Beach Park. Though unless you dine out in the front the resturant does not really have views. Meals over the years have varied with chef changes. However I would say that it is generally reasonable food (with some chefs it has been excellent) and not bad value for money. We have visited as part of a group, family and as a couple & even solo. Desserts in the past have been better.
Very disappointing. On arriving for our dinner booking, our table was not ready. A few tables were pushed together & cutlery was given to us in a jar. It took an hour & a half for our meals to start arriving. Some of the meals were incorrect. The steak was over cooked as were the other meals. Staff did not seem to care when we complained about the waiting time for the meals, in fact 1 staff member was quite rude & another was sarcastic I will not be revisiting.
After being told we couldn't get our accommodation till a day later than we had hoped we stay the night at the Seabreeze. The meal was very large. We ordered two starters, one shared main and two desserts. We couldn't eat it all as the meals were so big and excellent value for money. Room service is at no extra charge.
I'm not a fan of pubs so with that in mind we found the music too loud and inescapable. My fish was under cooked and my husband's steak over cooked. We both asked for no chips but extra salad. Still the offering was meagre.
