After visiting The Seven Stars for the first-time last month for a Sunday roast I can highly recommend! I enquired to book a Birthday Sunday roast for a large group at relatively short notice and Namit (the restaurant manager) instantly put my mind at ease. He was super prompt to respond to any questions and really made my husband’s Birthday dinner a success! As a party of 25 (adults and kids) our food was all brought out quickly and together. The food was absolutely delicious and many of us agreed it was one of the best roasts we had had in a long time! We had a fantastic experience thanks to a beautiful pub, delicious food and brilliant staff. Thank you SO much Namit, we can’t wait to come...
We had a lovely Sunday roast meal at the pub. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we were quickly seated and asked for drinks to start. The food also came quickly and was very good. It is much nicer than your standard Sunday roast and the quality of the meat and veggies seemed very good. The pub is cosy and despite there being a lot of visitors we were well served and didn't have any issues getting the attention of staff for more drinks. Overall I think this is the best place in Oxford to go for Sunday lunches, although I have been here several times and they also do very good dinners and festive Christmas parties!
We have always loved the Seven Stars but since Namit Sunit have taken over it has got better and better. From Indian bbq evenings with live music to a lovely Sunday lunch!! More recently we had our wedding reception there and we were so happy with the whole day-Namit and his team were fabulous, and our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was...specially the brisket!! Highly recommended the Seven Stars for a visit....you won't be disappointed!!
It’s slowly getting there… compared to my last roast here a month or two ago, it’s definitely better. The roasties were crunchy and the veg was great. The quality of the beef has reduced though, and the gravy lacked any real flavour. Yorkshires were a little over done, but not too bad. Overall, a good experience made better by friendly service and efficient service.

Absolutely fabulous meal here today. Namit accommodated my family (30 of us) to celebrate my mum's special birthday. The food was delicious, the staff so friendly and obliging, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much Namit team we had a wonderful afternoon spent together for such a memorable occasion.
We had the most delicious pheasant pie supper tonight, with perfectly cooked vegetables, delicious, gravy, excellent pastry and very tender pheasant. Such a great place for an evening out and always looked after so well by the staff. Highly recommend the seven stars absolutely incredible food
Just had Sunday lunch at the Seven Stars, with my wife and two friends. It was the best Sunday roast I have had in years, cooked to perfection, real very good compliments to the Chef. Lovely pub, and Staff , pub with an open fire, more could you want.
Gorgeous cosy village pub. Excellent food, friendly staff. They know how to throw a new years eve party! Would definitely recommend
