Shabu haru has been my go to Shabu spot in Rowland heights for many years now. They have always been consistent in their broth and meats. I always get the pork bone broth and the small toro. The meat is super thin and tender and always takes seconds to cook. They give you a bowl of veggies with mixed variety to suit everyone. Came in here for the first time and enjoyed it. I'm more into basic Japanese-style shabu shabu, but they also have other Chinese hot-pot flavors as well. Large size is the way to go even for children, as my 6-yo finished one all on his own. Staff is very nice and very attentive to your needs. It's a little expensive for the amount of food, but the again I'm pretty new to Shabu Shabu and don't really know what the expectations should be. We tried four different soups and a variety of meats. The peanut sauce was so delicious I found myself just wanting to eat straight peanut sauce on everything. This was also a super duper activity to do with my teenagers who thought it was cool.
Service only tip included if you order All You Can Eat. I didn 't get to check the bill, and already gave my Credit card to the server. It was a lot more than I expected so I asked if tip was included. She goes NO!! TIP NOT INCLUDED Guess what? they were included. Just be honest. Check your receipts people
Service and food was great! Would definitely come back again. I got the tomato soup base wagyu toro (large). The portions were really good especially compared to other single person hot pot places in the area. By the time I finished, I was very content with the taste and super full.
i already put 2 people on the waiting list and by the time we got here and yelp said we are still on the waiting list and she doesn't wanna take us seated. business hours said closed at 3:00pm we got there 2:30pm all she want is get off work! that's horrible service!!!

Still my favorite place for hot pot... the sauces and broths are sooo delicious used to come for the ayce but I'm not sure they do that anymore but soft d shell crab and the fried fish balls filled with roe and beef sushi are my go to appetizer dishes
