I visited a new Shanghai restaurant on Elmhurst that my friend had recommended. We tried the soup dumplings, pan-fried buns, and a vegetable casserole soup with Chinese pork belly. The Shanghai pickled vegetables and the dish with enoki mushrooms and veggies were way too oily. I was really disappointed with this place. Everything was either bland or excessively greasy. The enoki mushroom dish was practically swimming in oil. I won't be returning to this restaurant again.
What a delicious surprise for a rainy Thursday. Needing something ,to eat since it was 3:00/4:00 and that has started to become our lunch/dinner/main meal time and in the mood for Chinese went to Yelp to find a restaurant not too far away. Saw the picture of soup buns and decided to give it a try. Ordered the soup buns w/o crab right away. Not much soup, had a nice thin dough and was tasty. The soup dumplings (xiaolongbao) were incredibly delicious—I can't get them out of my mind! The shrimp dumplings were also among the best I've ever had. I personally preferred the classic soup dumplings to the truffle-flavored ones, which were more expensive. Still, it was a fun experience to try the truffle version since I haven't seen them offered anywhere else.
Amazingly good! Every dish is freshly made. The Sesame chicken amazing. Large portions of food. You are greeted as soon as you come in. The staff and manager are courteous and friendly. Excellent service. You must try it for yourself. Everyone looks sohappy while eating. You are going love it here. One of the best restaurants in the city. Book a table now
I eat Soup Dumplings from here at least once a month if not more, whether ordering on here or sitting down. Everything on the menu is amazing, and the family that owns it are fabulous. I would also recommend any of the chicken, the scallion pancakes, or anything on the lunch menu if youre in the time frame for it! <3
I can't really add to much insight that other reviewers have not mentioned. Was in queens helping out my Dad, and we had lunch here. The soup dumplings were really delicious, but not the best I had, we also had a whole crispy fish that was crave worthy, just a touch too sweet.
Stumbled upon this place randomly while walking around the neighborhood. Neat find. Service was great quick and servers were lovely. The restaurant itself also looks very clean and modern. The food was great also clean tasting broth and the duck wasso good.
Very delicious food. Tsos Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Watercress Sautéed W/ Enoki Mushrooms were very delicious. Food was nicely pack and handle with care. Will order from here very soon!! Book a table now
Delicious dumplings that we absolutely devoured at home. Everything had a perfect chew and texture that will have us coming back for more.
