During IWA Restaurants Hard are hard to find so we decided to try this restaurant which is a 3 minute walk from NOVOTEL city and Holiday inn express Authentic looking resistant with Locals as well as Ethiopians eating there Menu is difficult if you don't speak German but in the end weordered a mixed plate for 4 people which was served quickly with comes with a large basket full of a type of pancake breadFood was delicious , eating with just your fingers is difficult but a novelty Service was fast and and friendly but no real English spoken Well worth a visit will definitely be going back
I have been there yesterday with friend and we drank two beers. It was so stinky ,you can felt curry spice in every breath you take. This is some alternative place,with two concepts which i can understand. Etiopia-Afrikan Cocktail Bar??Same like England-European bar in USA, plus cocktail. I do not see any connections betwen cocktails and Africa. Instead a tourist trap and fast done interior design.You will have smelly curry jacket and pants after 20min sitting there. I used to have smelly jacket of tobacco,curry smell is something new to me. :)
Was now for the second time in Shashamane in Nuremberg and I find the food super delicious. It's just something different and a good mix of hot and mild dishes, so I find something for everyone. What was a pity was that the service unfortunately had us sit for a very long time (although we said something) without even asking if someone else wants to drink. That was about half an hour we waited for. But maybe she just had a bad day. That's why a star deducted.
Very nice place with beautiful ambience and fair prices. We were well advised as Ethiopian food newcomers and got a delicious mixed dish. The dessert was also good, but could have been a bit more. Only the service was a little slow this evening, but it was also quite full. You can visit again.

An unforgettable time at shashamane! I come from Ethiopia and have been here in Nuremberg for a few decades. Shashamane shaft to catapult me to Ethiopia again and again!! Today I enjoyed “Hawaze Tibs”, roasted beef with pleasantly sharp sauce! Thank you Shashamane! I'd like to come back.
Very delicious exceptional food. From green cabbage with cheese to beef with spicy spices to lamb, there is a lot of different dish that you can eat traditionally with the fries and by hand. For those who like to try something unusual a great idea. Always happy.
Cosy place with super delicious food. If you don't like to eat with your hands, you can also get cutlery. Very delicious, traditional Ethiopian food. Also very good vegetarian or vegan selection of dishes. I definitely don't go the last time. :
First time eating Ethiopian food and I honestly have to say that it was delicious. The service was nice and friendly, unfortunately we had to wait quite some time for the food to be served, however all in all a great and tasty experience.
