We’d driven past Shields Sharwama couple of nights in a row and as we were busy having our lengthy, pay day what should we have debate a decision was suddenly made. We’ll try shields sharwama. Rang it in to pick up in half an hour and it was ready, hot to go. The shop frontage is smart and bright and is placed near the last metro station going into South Shields. Staff and interior were excellent. One of our sons (fussy) gave a massive thumbs up to his share of Shish Taouk chicken, rice, chips and garlic. I usually only eat kebabs and shawarma when I’m with friends in Sunderland because Shields has always been disappointing. Happened upon Shields Shawarma and it really is proper shawarma. The chicken and the lamb are delicious and it’s well worth the money. My mouth was watering looking at the menu and the food didn’t fail to deliver! The meat was great, the bread was great and so were the sauces, salad and rice. Awesome all round. Oh, and very friendly staff!
I have used this place on numerous occasions as the food is very good. Unfortunately I will not be returning purely based on the fact I ordered a takeaway to be delivered last week. The food again was nice but for the amount I paid, the portion size of meat was very small for 2 people. There's a fine line between greed and profit and they crossed it. What a shame, I recommended them to lots of people but I won't be returning or recommending in the future.
Ordered for collection..chicken kebab and another dish, plus side of cjips. They forgot chips but only spotted when i got home. No point going back as rest of food woukd have been cold Food good..bread cold and bit sofgy, but chicken and rivlce both tasty Probably go back, but there are better take aways in shields

Ordered from these guys twice now and I couldn’t recommend them anymore! Ordered the king shawarma meal for £18 and it’s soooo worth it! Lots of different meats and with chips, fills the family’s! Only complaint is that it was missing salad! Would definitely try here as it’s sooo good
I absolutely adore this restaurant. The decor is stunning and we tried the mixed grill, which was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. The staff are also very friendly.

Takes a lifetime to deliver. 2 hrs ffs. Food is lovely but I’m not happy with delivery time at all. Specially as the shop is top of my street. Probably 3 minutes approximately

I have tried a few meals from here and I can say excellent . The staff are realy pleasant and the meat is cooked to perfection. Try it you won 't be disappointed .
