When I purchased filled donuts at Shipley Do-nuts, each one contained only about half to three-quarters of a teaspoon of filling, and even worse, the filling seemed to be whatever was left on the shelf. The employee serving me took two donuts to fill; the first had less than half a teaspoon of filling, while the second barely had any—just a small blue spot. I waited patiently in line, arriving at 6:45 and finally being served at 7:00. I was third in line, and the store wasn’t particularly busy, so there’s really no excuse for not delivering the quality customers expect, especially when paying $16.80 for a dozen donuts from their menu.
There's a lovely older Korean woman who works here; she prefers to keep her name private, but she does an excellent job and is very kind. Her husband usually works in the back but sometimes helps up front; he can seem a bit blunt and gruff. The donuts are pretty good, especially when fresh, though I recommend checking their freshness before buying. I also like the Kolaches, even if they aren't exceptional. Honestly, I mostly come for a chat with Karina over breakfast rather than the food itself, but the breakfast options are quite good, especially on my way home from Jack in the Box.
I arrived at 6:00 AM hoping to treat myself to some fresh donuts, but the filled ones were cold, hard, and seemed like they were made the day before. If I hadn’t been on my way out of town, I would have gladly gone back to express my disappointment. I travel frequently for work and usually enjoy Shipley donuts, but this visit was by far the worst experience I've had compared to previous ones. You would expect to receive warm, fresh donuts shortly after they open, but that wasn’t the case at this location in Fort Worth.

Somewhat cold, and a little hard. It seems like something went wrong with the frying as well. The donuts were not the same consistency as normal. This is the only time I've been here that they've ever been like this so hopefully next time around things will be back to normal.

I really enjoy Shipley, which is why I decided to visit this morning. However, I didn’t stay or place an order because I noticed that the woman filling the jelly donuts wasn't wearing gloves, and the cashier seemed unconcerned about it. Just a heads-up: the donuts you see and order might have been handled with bare hands.
Service was fast but my doughnuts was cold n hard.. I noticed one of the employees touching the doughnuts with her bare hands then wiping her hands on a towel who knows if she was still putting her hands on the food after the fact she wiped her handswith that towel.. I'm not returning to that location..
The coffee was terrible, and the glazed donut was stale. The glaze was dripping, which made it clear that it was past its prime. I understand it was Christmas, so I didn't want to be too harsh. However, I must say: it's better to stay home than to serve outdated donuts and terrible coffee!

I absolutely adore this place! Their donuts are always spot on, served warm and they just melt in your mouth. I used to be a big fan of Krispy Kreme donuts, but then I found Shipley's Doughnuts...
