Shirley's Country Kitchen

This is in a truck stop and the local people love eating here. Travelers along with truckers will stop to eat here. The question is why do they miss out on some of the best opportunities to make money. They are closed on the weekends. Most people travel on the weekends. In trucking most shippers and receivers are closed. So the truckers will find a place to accommodate those days. Breakfast lunch dinner. Also they close at 5pm. Most truckers stop driving for the day after 5pm. Saturday the parking lot has many truckers in the parking lot and they are closed. Truckers will note they are closed on weekends and at 5 pm. And spend their money somewhere else. It's a missed business opportunity.

I've only been once. Wasn't many options to choose from I only got fried chicken Mac n cheese. Food was hot and delicious. Great selections. Staff was very gracious. Will always stop there if they are open and I’m traveling that’s way. My two friends loved it too.Vegetarian options: Several vegetables all seasoned to perfectionWheelchair accessibility: Doable

So hard to find a non-chain restaurant on the interstate. Okay so we didn’t actually eat here because they weren’t open but it looks great and the bathrooms at the truck stop were very clean.

This is a very good place to eat southern cooking. Very friendly staff it’s like cafeteria style.Food: 5/5
