We 've been to the 'Shuck ' many times but on this occasion it was a little bit special, we were treating another couple to Sunday lunch. I 'm sure a lot of people have been in the same position that you praise up a pub and just hope all is at the standard you normally enjoy and expect. Well Fran and her staff never let us down, the food was, as ever, perfect, the service exceptional and price didn 't break the bank? It 's high praise to say that the couple who we took actually booked a table the following weekend just to pass the experience onto their other friends. Well done Fran
Visited the Shuckburgh Arms again last evening with a couple of friends and once again we weren't disappointed. Fran looked after us so well and the service was first class. Starters included whitebait, portobello mushrooms and Cajun chicken- all cooked to perfection. Main courses of the steak and ale pie, haddock moray, slow cooked blade of beef and the pork tenderloin were all excellent, served as described on the menu. There was just a little room for a couple of desserts that ended a lovely evening. We will return as soon as we can.
Popped in for a quick drink on our travels and we're pleasantly suprised by this community owned pup. Although we never ate on this visit the food looked lovely and reasonable priced. The beer was lovely and well kept all coupled with very friendly and welcoming locals it made for a lovely rest stop. Our dog was also made very welcome. Thank you.
Located in a tranquil countryside setting, this restaurant is a perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely drink or delicious meal. The staff is friendly, the beer selection is excellent, and the food is truly amazing. I am eagerly anticipating my next visit and would highly recommend this place to anyone!
