Fantastic food, cocktails and service! The owners and staff always have a warm welcome for guests and the food is really delicious--especially the lamb shank with risotto. The bar tenders know how to mix great cocktails--my fave is the Four Step with lots of muddled berries. The bar tenders are very knowledgeable and friendly as well. Along with the main menu, be sure to come for Tapas Tuesdays in the long and lively bar, where you're treated to an array of tasty tapas served gratis as you sip your spirit or wine of choice. A friend recommended Sidebar's tapas as the place to try and she wasn't wrong. After two nights of eating prime beef, I was ready for something wow. Ordered their beef empanadas, plantain quest guava, mushrooms garlic, calamari a la sarten, and the scallops parmesan. Oh was my pallet treated to a delight. Every dish was a savory taste. Service was attentive for the most part except for refilling our water glasses. Loved the ambiance but make sure you have a reservation. We were lucky to get a tabletop in the bar.
My friends and I were thrilled with the quality of the food at SideBar. The service was excellent, and as a lovely surprise, we received a complimentary round of Champagne at our table—now that’s what I call outstanding customer service! My only downside was that the noise level in the restaurant made it somewhat challenging to hold a conversation. Despite that, I highly recommend SideBar, especially for vegetarians looking for a quality experience that ranges from casual to fine dining with plenty of options.
Second time here. Came for the bartender. Who we met at another restaurant. We got just about every appetizer. It's a great neighborhood spot downtown! We got a pizza, brussels, calamari, salad, some pasta.. and literally ALL THE DRINKS. We couldn't keep up. I don't know them, he just kept bringing them. Wine and cocktails. He made a special jalapeño drink.. it was really good. So talented. Go on a Saturday night before rush. Sit at the bar. Enjoy.

Excellent spot to go before attending a show at the Ohio Theatre. The waiter asked us if we were going to the theatre after dinner and he did a good job of getting us our check quickly, which was greatly appreciated. The handcrafted cocktails were pricey for the size of glass, but very delicious. The food was very good we had the calamari, pizza and house salad). I would recommend this place to anyone!
Food was absolutely amazing. We loved everything we ordered from the appetizers to the dessert. The location we sat was brighter than the rest of the restaurant but it wasn't bad. We were checked on once or twice after the food came out. Overall, food was delightful and moderately priced. Service was good. Atmosphere at any other part of the restaurant would have been better.
First visit to sidebar and we'll be back! Service was outstanding, our waitress took the time to go over the whole menu with us. Food and drink were incredible, I can't say enough about it. The only complaint is the tables are tight. We made it work, and wouldn't hesitate to go back!
Contemporary, comfortable space, high energy staff! Black bean soup was very good, I liked the shrimp ceviche and the smoked salmon bruschetta was well composed and very tasty. The flan de coco dessert seems decadent without being heavy, packed withflavor.
