aboutsley disguisted, 2 sausage suppers contained 2 small sausages and about 10 chips chips were undercooked and when you cut into the sausages the grease ran out i used to go here reguarly before the covid19 lockdown, but will NEVER go back the suppers came in single portion boxes!!!! THE OWNER SEEMS TO BE OUT TO TRY TO RIP PEOPLE OFF the usual manager was not on and if the owner keeps trying to maniuplate the paying customer he wont have a chip shop to manage

The Silvery Tay is a part of Newport life that we always look forward to experiencing whenever we return to Newport-on-Tay. The portions are ample, the fish is always tender and the peas are deliciously mushy! We especially relish the 'suppers ' Hamish serves. Highly recommended. NB It 's a takeaway, not a sit-down place, but still worthwhile.

Delicious as always, I have only been here 5/6 times but it has always been the perfect fish, I sit and eat it looking over the water to Dundee and it is so relaxing, definitely recommended.

Two fish and chiips, quick service, great food, fresh and tasty. Picnic tables overlooking the Tay a short distance away. Parking nearby. Price normal. Big portions.
