I brought my Daddy after seeing his doctor and we got lunch to go bc he was getting pretty tired. I've heard Mrs Mary speak of Poulet several times but we never caught it on the menu while she was still with us. Dad and I lucked up and it was on the menu and I told him it's got the best reviews ever so we will get today, no regrets!!! Lord have Mercy I wish Mrs Mary and I had been able to eat it together before she passed, she has a taste for it and my goodness it was delicious! And those candied carrots were perfect! I have tried lunch from here several times. I usually come in to get 2-3 lunch plates to go for the office. The food is typically good, but service is severely lacking. The guy serving is always rude and acts like it’s an inconvenience to make the plates. One time he was huffing and puffing so much the lady from the kitchen stepped in and made the plates. It had been a few months since I last tried and was hoping something changed. Unfortunately, he was just as rude as all my previous visits.
This restaurant is a hybrid bakery and meat and three. The selection is limited, but top notch. It's underrated and in a shopping center, but the food is consistently good. They don't have soft drinks, but feature southern style sweet tea, lemonade and water. We've gone there for years and highly recommend it for veggies.
I love dining here whenever I come home from college! The atmosphere is so cozy, and the food is incredible, with great prices and friendly staff. It's always a wonderful experience! I can't stop thinking about the chicken and dressing they serve on Fridays.

Homemade comfort food in an out of the way bakery/café. The food was well prepared; the décor, utensils, etc. are very simple. The price was inexpensive. If you want a basic meal at a cheap price, provided by very nice people, then this is the place.
It's ok but I felt the food was lacking something. Portions were reasonable. The meat loaf I had seemed a little bland. The fried okra was over done. I'd go back and give them another try. Desserts looked very good but we didn't have any.
Very good place for a quick and delicious lunch... They have a meat and veggie cafeteria style line to pick from and pay on your way out. BTW... they have cake, pies and other goodies too.
Southern cooking at its finest. Always go for lunch and there sis something new every day . My favorite us the meatloaf with pretzel salad.
