I ordered the special of the day - spiced pork ribs and rice. The dish that arrived was so salty and so spicy, it was inedible. You could not taste the pork at all and I did wonder if the flavour of the ribs had been camouflaged intentionally. The staff were very apologetic and courteous and changed the meal immediately to another plainer dish - which was much nicer. However, by this time, I did not fancy eating as my taste buds were blown.
cockroach crawling over the utensils and up the counter. I know cockroaches are everywhere but it does impact my rating and was and off putting.Portions were huge, too big for a single serve, lots of wastage. I had braised pork with noidles and it was delicious. Food came out in minutes....almost too fast which indicates food is prepared and sitting atound.They also serve alcohol which was nice.
Had a late lunch there after we got back from Tasmania so the place was empty. Ordered bbq pork rice while my companion order wonton soup. Soup was a bit too salty for my taste but the BBQ pork was tasty though it could have been more tender. Place was clean and service was generally OK. Pricing was so-so .
Very busy little place as most of Macquarie is at lunch time. But got a table, order in and it was ready just as quick. Had the duck pancakes, chicken laksa and chicken vegetable noodle soup. All were great but really loved the flavour of the laksa. Not a fine dining experience but just go for good food. Book a table now
I have just had dinner there and asked for hainanese chicken and literately got a hicken wing and two small pieces of chicken... a whole volcano of rice... I could only eat a couple of spoons of rice coz there was no chicken to eat it with...?? Where did the chicken go chef??
Simply noodles is great for the classics, my go to fave is the BBQ pork with noodles soup, absolutely yummo. Their laksa ain't half bad either, honestly for a fast asian meal this place is great. Highly recommend for a feed
Very close to a Japanese restaurant in service and taste.. I was very surprised to hear "Irrashaimase" when we entered the restaurant.. brought back memories..
Not the finest, but they were very tasty indeed. I can recommend this for a quick lunch. Service was efficient and atmosphere pleasant. Book a table now
You know what? For a place that is set in a nightmare Hell Hole of a shopping centre, Top Ryde, this place is remarkably good.
