Worth the effort to find it, as it's tucked upstairs in a strip mall in a fairly unattractive part of Boblingen. While the restaurant could use an upgrade to its air conditioning, or the installation of fans, the great service and the good food made up for it (although I doubt I'll venture in there on a hot day again). Our waiter was courteous and prompt, and when he realized that our German language skills were fairly poor, he quickly got English-language menus for us. When at one point we were having trouble with communicating, he also was quick to consult with another member of the waitstaff, so we were all able to get our meaning across. First visit was few months back. Tried Pho Bo. The greens were bounty and fresh, soup and meat are pretty good. However, it degraded from there. Service from the Caucasian guy is superb. The others left a lot to be desired. I ordered to take away and the Asian waiter said haughtily that this restaurant is high class and they don't really do take away like other restaurants. So, I decided to eat in and ordered Pho Bo. However, the ingredients were not fresh, hardly any greens, and the taste is off. Apparently, they also missed out on the bean sprouts. Reason given by the Asian guy was that it's lunch menu and things have to be quick. He just shrugged off to show his indifference. I think this...
We are still enthusiasitc when we are going for lunch to Sinam. The special ambiente (which you do not expect from outside - so don't take that impression...), the special meals, kind of crossover kitchen from Thai-Chinese-Vietnames, the price level, the friendliness is altogether simply phantastic. Meals are hot and big enough, no seperate spices (salt, pepper) on the table needed (and not offfered :-) ). At lunch time everything is served with a starter (choice out of three) and the weekly menu has around 10 meals offered. As well the vegetarien meals are very much recommended.For lunchtime I would recommend to book a table - you should accept some waiting time.
More then one year after my last review, I summarize that the quality of meals and service is still excellent. A mixture between vietnamese and thai meals. Absolutely fresh served with herbs, vegetables. Hot. You get support on the ingredients, trust the staff. Staff is fast even if the restaurant is fully booked (at lunch time with excellent prices for the predefined meals). In the evening a bit more expensive with a la carte meals. Not necessary to reserve a table at dinner time. For us (colleagues who know asian food) the best asian food in the area.

Had dinner here a while back which was good, decided to try the lunch menu. Not so good. I had the Peking soup, then the pork. Soup was good but the pork was more goulash than Chinese cuisine. I can only assume it was an off day, as the flavour was really like a European stew. The other starter was the rice paper rolls which were good, and then a lamb curry, which was quite watery. Shame because as I said previous visit was good...
Randomly discovered this restaurant. From the outside did it look very unimpressive, but once inside, are you welcomed to a pleasantly decorated environment with a very friendly staff. However, most importantly was I surprised by the authentic and fantastic tasting food. I can most definitely recommend this place to anyone, who can appreciate some real Asian cuisine without actually having to travel to Asia.
We arrived for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were seated right away, and then waited and waited... We waited 20 min for anyone of the waiters to take our order (or at least tell us that it would take a bit longer). We just left after being ignored all that time and ate elsewhere.
Friendly service and high quality food at this upscale buffet. They take it to the next level with special teas and courteous service. Happy to explain and assist with the dishes. Reminded us of our travels in Asia. Don't fill up before mango sticky rice and Vietnamese Coffee.

I tried this restaurant for lunch. Menues were good quality fresh food. Very enjoyable. Prices a little bit higher, but it's worth the money.
I would like to say one thing, Sinam restaurant interior was great and spacious! Foods was just OK! I won't go back!
