I used to visit this restaurant frequently and really enjoyed the food, but now I'm reconsidering returning. The place can get quite busy, and they have a system where you write your name on a notepad at the entrance. However, I've noticed on several occasions that they don't seat people in order, and I've seen patrons who arrived after me being seated before I was. I can understand it might be a mistake once, but this happened to my group for the third time tonight. It seems like they don't always check the list, which makes me question the purpose of having it at all. This has led to quite a disappointing experience.
Slice Shabu normally is one of my favorite shabu locations to go to but this one specifically did not meet my standards for a slice location. The location is in downtown Fullerton which is great to grab desserts after and to hangout. There is a parking lot that is nearby and quick to navigate to slice. However, the service of this location was not superb compared to other locations. There were not many customers in the restaurant at the time, but it took a long time to receive water refills and for a server to come by. The food and and taste quality remains the same and great, but the service was not the best.
Felt rushed during our ordering process...but once the rest of the crew came in, service improved. Price was reasonable considering the different kinds of meat they were offering the meats was pretty good and food presentation was bento style. But the kicker was the goma sauce, it had a bitter after taste to it, so it altered the flavor in my opinion...not in a very pleasant way.

I'm glad this Shabu Shabu restaurant is in the area. It definitely gives DTF more variety! The meat was very good quality. I was happy to hear that you can refill rice and veggies once. I definitely underestimated my plate because I was so full at the end! My go to dipping sauces are ponzu and goma. I love the spicy miso broth. I'll definitely come back!
Never had shabu before but will definitely come back here. Every bite of meat was full of flavor and edible with no bad fatty bits. The broth was delicious and the tempura was mmm mmm good. The waitresses were also very helpful with explaining the bestway to cook on our first time. Nothing beats a delicious after taste of good food.
Slice Shabu Fullerton is a spot you visit for the overall experience. While the menu is on the pricey side and portions aren’t huge, the food remains delicious and enjoyable. I usually come during lunchtime when it’s never crowded. It’s a great place to treat yourself or enjoy a lunch date with someone special! Food: 4/5
I love hot pot in general but my favorite hot pot place is this place right here! Everyone here is friendly and the food is delicious. Would absolutely recommend going to this place time and time again!

This place was not too crowded. Bar stool seating. Food options were good. Loved the lamb option for lunch soup bowl. Strawberry nigori was yum.
Place is delicious really cool atmosphere unique food. I went with the chicken but I don't recommend it go with what they recommend.
