we had a take for the whole family and we can honestly say that these fish and chips are among the best we have ever tried and come from a coastal city, we have cost many in past. the fish is as fresh as. it could be and the chips are mehlig and crisp as we like them and very tasty in the did. Our 6 year old enkelin even explained that they are the best in the whole world! and that means they are very good. the teig is perfect, crispy and tasty. there is no excess oil or fat on everything and in the did everything is boiled to perfection. the workers are hard working, very pleasant and efficient and my man and I can not wait to try the restaurant soon. we had a few more outliers without the...
We recently ordered fish and chips from this restaurant based on the "excellent" reviews, but unfortunately, we were let down. The fish was cooked well with a nice crunch, but the chips were disappointing. They lacked flavor and were made from small, uneven pieces of potatoes that didn't resemble traditional chips at all. Additionally, they were clumped together and there were no crispy bits. It was a disappointment as the reviews had promised a great meal. We may give them another chance in the future, but this time around, we were not impressed.
They have a click and collect service , you can make your order on the website , book a time slot , park up at the time booked and they’ll bring it out and put it in your boot. The ordering online is so simple...to use. I was really pleased with the logistics they have put in place to protect staff and customers from the Covid spread. The food was as usual really good and brought out by a very polite gentleman. Well done Smithfields!
Hi, I have just tried the new Chicken Maple and Sweet Chilli kebab. WOW! What flavour. That blend of sweetness from the maple, and the slight kick from the sweet chilli. An absolute must if you fancy something different. The click and collect service is...fantastic for those still a little unsure regarding safety, and the staff are all wearing PPE.Absolutely the best fish and chip restaurant around. Highly recommend a visit.

Welcome back to all at Smithfields, we collected our order on Friday. I can only say, we have missed the best fish and chips during this shutdown You have certainly come back with a vengeance. we were in the opposite to visit friends when we stopped in smithfields and we were so glad that we did with some of the best fish and chips we had on these wise. kabeljau and chips perfectly cooked and a side of the heirsen to help...out the whole family enjoyed their meals and we wouldn't hesitate to eat here again, thanks smithfields
We visited 2 Saturdays running en route to a holiday destination and on the way back. I couldn't fault it. Easy to find, off road parking, restaurant to the side, delicious, gluten free fish and chips as a takeway or restaurant meal, nice decor, staff...professional and friendly. Toilets available and they were clean.
My wife and I ate at Smithfields on 19th of August. I had cod and chips and my wife had chicken kebab. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. We would recommend eating here.
