I can't praise this restaurant enough! We visited for the first time tonight and are really regretting not discovering it sooner. I think the owner took care of our order and provided exceptional customer service—he was friendly and very accommodating. Since it was our first visit, he took the time to explain the entire menu. My review is based on the food solely as I used a delivery service each time. First time I tried the catfish, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, and the banana pudding. Everything was god except the cabbage. The cabbage was tender but lacked flavored. I ended up adding garlic salt to save the dish. The catfish was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The macaroni and cheese was cooked very nicely, and was extremely tasty. The banana pudding was very good as the cookies were soft and the pudding was evenly sweet. I just came from Smoke N The City! I paid $18 for a small portion of greens and six wings, and the serving size was surprisingly tiny. I'm really disappointed. I enjoy supporting small businesses, especially Black-owned ones, but it's frustrating when they don't seem to prioritize customer satisfaction unless there's money on the line. I'm not going to go into details, but I won't be returning. It's surprising that they're still in business since this isn't my first bad experience there. By the way, the wings were cold! Come on, SITC, you can do better!

Just got 2 sides.At 5.50,should have been something special about the baked beans.Too much surgery sauce covering tiny little beans.Should have at least had some bacon or pork in them.The coleslaw was better with a perfect balance of sweet and sour.A little celery seed in it would not hurt though.Overall disappointed with the beans.Could have got a can for a buck and would have been better.
We placed two orders, the beef brisket and the pulled pork. They were actually very good. The sides were another story. The greens beans weren't very flavorful and the baked beans were dry. The fries were okay, but it's kinda hard to mess up fries. If you go, save yourself the trouble and pass on the meals and just get a sandwich.
To begin the service was amazing! I had a hard time deciding between the brisket or ribs but went with the ribs… and I am GLAD I did! They were fall of the bone with the best sweet and spicy flavor. We will definitely be making another trip!
I was really disappointed with the ribs. For $11.66, I only got three bones with barely any meat on them, and it seems like they just microwaved my order.
