Housed in one of the central courtyards that are popping up in new residential developments across Sydney, Social Hideout makes clever use of this often-difficult type of space. White garden furniture tables are set on bright green AstroTurf. The chair seats are padded with plump, black and white cushions, and draped with brightly coloured blanket throws. There’s a casually parked retro bicycle with its cane basket full of plastic flowers sitting in front of an arbour housing more tables and a long, comfortable banquette. It all adds up to an al-fresco extend-a-lounge room environment, geared at the apartment dwellers living on all four sides. We pull up an outdoor table in these ‘grounds’ of...

My wife and I were looking for a nice breakfast place and came across SH on google. We waited outside at the sign saying please wait here to be seated for a minute and realised that we should venture inside or we could be standing out there all day. Once inside we were directed to a table, we had to wave down a server to order coffees, it would have been nice to had been asked if we wanted a drink when we were seated as it was 8.45am and we wanted a coffee! My coffee (SK Cap) was warm and more of a flat white with some chocolate powder..my wife's was also the same, and tasted nice - just without the foam top. We ordered a Greek omelet which was nice with a slice of toast cut in half (no butt...
Decided to try some brunch by Social Hideout because of it's good ratings. For future first timers wanting to check out this joint, it's not actually visible on/from the main street/street address listed (which is Victoria Road) & is slightly tricky to find. It's tucked away behind the F45 gym, so if you've found the gym, just walk through that little lane towards what looks like the front entrance garden for the surrounding units and you'll find it to your left. And there's minimal free parking; paid is 2P/4P. Service was very good, very prompt, and staff were friendly. Nice cosy decor, chilled out ambience, lots of outdoor seating. Coffee is Campos, so if you're a fan then you're good...

Here come the best decision of all time! The food was really interesting, both in variety and in his colorful design and had something to fit everyone. I tried Habib and was pleasantly surprised by the fusion of aromas that came together pretty nice. He needed coffee on the day I went to, but would like to come back to try the Red Velvet / Matcha / Taro Latten! The cafe was well lit, ideal for photos, and had an outdoor area, though it was too cold for me, when I was sitting as if I had been transported to another area compared to the rest of the parramatta . The staff were friendly, and although the food took some time because he was a peak brunch hour, every bit worth waiting for. Grief Th...
This was my second time at Social Hideout and unlike my first visit, this was quite average. I got the Arab board (gave the tomatoes to my friend) and frankly did not touch the cucumbers and olives, as they were all heavily squeezed and looked pretty old. The eggs, toast, labneh and halloumi were all right without anything. The coffee here is great and for such a strenuous Saturday morning, your service was great. I'm probably back there, as you are one of the few decent cafes in Parra, but next time I would just get something else.
Now I understand why they named the place 'hideout'. It's tricky too find but once you've found it, you'll love it. I ordered 'The Habib'. This Middle Eastern inspired dish not only looks lovely, it tastes wonderful as well! I especially adore the beautifully cooked za'atar poached eggs, flavourful beetroot hummus, portobello mushrooms and the fresh pomegranate! Coffee is great too! Tips: park at Coles so you get 1.5hours free parking.
The food was definitely tasted as good as it looks! Grief The name is definitely similar to the location - near a Colles complex, but it was a great hiding place to say it the least. After visiting a cold day, the soft blankets added, which were added with a cozy touch. Grief Grief The food came out in record time, and there was definitely a lot of it to keep the taste buds happy. Book a table now
For lunch on a weekday, this is the place to miss. It is cold outside, no heating. An hour to wait for food. Bring your own knives, forks and napkins as they are not readily available. Food was average and expensive. Milkshake was nice though

"It must be poor etiquette to start a review with "I frikkin love this place", but I do! We all know the food isn't the best , but it's deep fried, oily goodness makes you come back for more. The overly heavy Cesar salad, the huge steaks, thick sauces, the bloomin onion. If all that isn't enough, you can get pints of beer. I'll be back, again, and again. Like I said the foods not the best, but let's be honest it's not the worst either, and where else can you get a bloomin onion ."
