This restaurant and adjacent hotel offers magnificent views over the surrounding forests and down to the valley over the town of Bad Wildbad. Selfservice, an order and pays and then gets a tray with the ordered food, just come and just go... Although... a fairly cool and turbulent Monday was the restaurant over lunchtime and lo and behold, even the sun came out, which allowed for some great pictures ... Local specialties are on offer, limited menu, but the food came on the double and the onion cake was warm! I wish TripAdvisor had a "good" column between average and very good, because I would give them that...
one of the most beautiful places in the black forest perhaps the most beautiful? Last autumn I went up with the summer mountain railway and enjoyed a delicious shupfnudelpfanne (9,20 euro.) my companion from the picnic flammpie diabolo darkened. only the service could have been a little more reliable. they really seem to float over the hang! funnyly, a large selection of ceramics is also sold on site, e.g., tassen. the place is also a great exit point for extended hikes. the rooms are converted into the time and I wait scobon longed for the reopening.
Pig roast with late zle very good! Black Forest Cherry Vw, best ever! The restaurant had already closed, no guest was there. We just wanted a view from the terrace over Bad Wildbad. But the boss still gave us something to eat. And that, although they were already fixed and completed from the day-to-day business. Very nice people! We'll be back.
The typical German food was alright. Nothing spectacular, but decent. The drinks come in ceramic glasses which keep them cool and original. The highlight is, however, the view. Nothing can beat that view over the black forest and the Enz valley below.

Such a cool winter experience! Really rustic, the cold escape, with tasty mulled wine and warm soup, smell of wood stove, view over the valley, and beautiful service... even ice pegs there were to admire...
Service is terrible! Unfriendly staff and food is below average and expensive! The waiting period was twice as high as originally informed and no answer was given after the question of time.
We stopped here for a drink and some black forest gateaux. The views alone are worth visiting this place. Sat out on the balcony feels like you're on top of the world!! Breathtaking.
