I would have given this place a 3.5 if I could. It was my first time visiting, and the gentleman who served me was really nice. The service was great. However, I was disappointed when I got home. I ordered a boil and banana pudding. When I arrived, the man mentioned that he had to make some banana pudding because they were out, which should have been a warning sign, but I went ahead and ordered it anyway. When I got home, I discovered that there were no bananas in my banana pudding, and they used banana-flavored pudding instead of vanilla, making it taste like a yellow Laffy Taffy—just awful and disappointing. I’ll start by saying I’m from LOUISIANA and I know good seafood. My husband ordered the 3 piece catfish meal and I ordered the Cajun shrimp and crab leg sack. The food was out quick and extremely fresh. I love when catfish is battered with a little mustard (southern trick) it taste soooo much better. I instantly knew from the first bite, she knew what she was doing.The boil bag (sack) was delicious. The next time I will order “spicy instead of cajun” for a little more kick. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing.She even gave us a sample of gumbo that was delicious and flavorfulWe will definitely be back!!!
I visited this Black-owned restaurant for the first time and ordered the lobster bisque and crab ravioli for lunch. The food was served hot and made to order. I was let down by the lobster bisque, as it contained absolutely no meat; although it had a nice flavor, I was expecting at least some bits of lobster. The crab ravioli was just okay—very garlicky and oily, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have digestive issues. Despite this, it did have a decent taste. I'm planning to give this place another try and sample something different for a more satisfying experience.
This restaurant is incredible! The food exceeded my expectations—everything was delicious. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are just right. We tried the J Chicken, which is the best I've ever had, and the shrimp sac was also excellent. The oysters were the standout of the entire meal; I have high standards for oysters, and these did not disappoint. The service was fantastic—everyone was friendly and attentive. Just keep in mind that they only have a limited number of tables for dining in. We will definitely be returning without a doubt!

I really don't want to express this because the owner was very kind, but the food was inedible. Everything seemed to be frozen seafood. There were signs posted everywhere stating “no refunds.” It became clear to me that they put up those signs because so many customers want to return the awful food. It tasted like unclean, frozen seafood. I would strongly recommend steering clear of this restaurant.
This restaurant has officially made it onto my "must-visit" list. The hush puppies are incredible and always on my mind. The shrimp and grits are consistently amazing. I recently tried the egg rolls and fried chicken, and I loved them both. This place never disappoints. I'm so lucky to have it close by!
Fantastic service and even better food! My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience and will definitely return! The prices were reasonable too; we had enough food for 2 or 3 meals and only spent $180, which felt very worth it given the generous portions, especially on these warm spring days!
I've been here twice, and was impressed with the food and service both times. The j chicken was fantastic (tender and full of flavor) and the shrimp and grits were very good too.The $10 lunch specials are a great value. I'll keep coming back for sure.
