Southern Spice - Table reservation

Better for takeout than for dine in. I’ve experienced both and while the food was authentic and amazing, I had a very uncomfortable experience with a waiter who forced me to order a full curry even though I just wanted a dosa and samosas. He literally would not take no for an answer. Anyways, the samosa chaat and the chicken biryani are fabulous, and my go tos. The restaurant itself is usually empty, older decor and there’s always the loud sound of a tv going, so it’s not worth the effort to go in person, even despite the pushy waiter.

This being a South Indian restaurant, I ordered Veg Kuthu Porotta and didn’t depend my decision. I reached there just before afternoon break and yet they were welcoming. The food was served quick and the porotta tatsed awesome with the raita. The portion was Really good and filled me up easily. The spiciness level was accurate and the food seemed authentic. Give it a shot if you would want to explore South Indian cuisine.

I like the way their food tasted but it’s too pricey I would say I mean $17 for 5 pieces butter chicken I don’t know how I feel about that. The butter chicken was kinda watery I didn’t mind but they also gave us no spoon fork or napkins it was an Uber eats order). Also they put two different orders rice together awkward kinda having to share with my coworkers).

I had a horrible experience today with southern spice. I ordered naan and chicken tikka and the naan was not cooked properly and the chicken tikka had no flavor and tasted bland. I would give it a 0/10 if I could. Years ago they used to be good but not anymore.

Simply delicious If you just want good food simple good Southern Indian food this is the place.
