Souvla has been on my must-try list for quite some time, and we finally had the opportunity to visit when we saw family in the Bay Area this year. As a fan of Greek cuisine, I had heard numerous positive reviews about Souvla, so my expectations were quite high. Unfortunately, we were a bit let down by both the flavors and the portion sizes. We ordered a Chicken Sandwich and Lamb Salad to share. While the lamb was decent and flavorful, the chicken was incredibly dry and difficult to chew. We ultimately ended up asking for more chicken.

I stopped by Souvla to grab some food for a picnic and ordered the veg salad. It was decent, but a bit too acidic for my taste. It came with quite a bit of cheese on top, so if you're not into cheese, make sure to mention that. The vegetarian option didn’t really stand out to me—it tasted just okay. However, my friends enjoyed their meat dishes, which I didn’t try. The fries were tasty. Also, they don't provide utensils unless you specifically ask, so be sure to request them if you need any.
This is a nice restaurant with a little taste of greek cuisine. The concept of this restaurant is kind of classy in combination with a fast food restaurant, you order and pay at the entrance, then your food arrive at the table. My party and I ordered the chicken sandwich and the Greek beer. Believe me the food was really good, specially the chicken which it tasted like a rosticery and it was so tender. The sandwich is at the end a pita bread with all the ingredients inside

I had there very tasty lamb sandwich, juicy and flavorful thanks to really fresh veggies and harissa yogurt. There was enough meat so I?d say that the price is reasonable. I ordered the lamb sandwich through Doordash. The flavor was fantastic, with a tangy sauce and soft pita. However, the lamb, chicken, and pork were all very dry, which took away from the overall experience. There also wasn’t enough sauce to counteract the dryness. I hope I just caught them on an off day, as other reviews seem more positive. I might try a different location next time.

Nut allergy friendly. The food was good, but it didn’t justify the $23 for a gyro with fries. There are much better options outside of San Francisco. While it was filling, the price felt a bit steep. I wouldn't return, but it's worth trying once. I ordered the lamb sandwich (gyro) with Greek fries, though I’m not sure why they’re called that— they were just regular crispy fries.
