We drove from Port Washington based on positive Google reviews, but what a letdown! They close at 8 PM, and we arrived at 7 PM only to be denied service. The best part? The place had an unpleasant smell and didn't seem very clean. We ended up finding another restaurant in Mineola that was miles better—like a five-star hotel in comparison to this one. Honestly, it felt like bad business since they seem to rely solely on the nearby medical staff for customers. At least they have access to medical care!
There's not a lot to say about this place, except that the staff is friendly and the food is fresh and hot. It's conveniently located near the hospital. I ordered two dishes: chicken souvlaki in pita and a burger. My only complaint is the lack of pickles or coleslaw, which would have enhanced the burger. The restaurant is small and could use some updates, but most customers seem to prefer taking their food to go. The prices are reasonable for the portions you receive.
The food was mediocre given the high prices, and the staff was not very friendly. Their hours of operation seem to change frequently. If it weren’t for their convenient location near the hospital, they probably would have closed down long ago. I tried to order delivery once, but they denied my request, saying I lived too far away, even though I'm less than a mile from the restaurant. Mineola deserves better options for Greek cuisine.
Man at the register had a nasty attitude with me after I asked a question about my order. The food was disgusting. Ordered two chicken Gyros, lil meat with lots of lettuce. Might as well ordered a salad. French fries was stale. Waste of money, food went in the trash. Will never go back. I don't like to leave bad reviews, however after I wasted my money here and their bad attitude, had to let others know.

I absolutely adore this restaurant and the wonderful individuals who run it. They've been serving the best Greek salad, topped with their fantastic dressing, for as long as I can remember. It may not be upscale, but whenever I'm in Mineola or anywhere on Long Island, I make sure to stop by for lunch. I truly hope they stay around forever and never change a thing!
I can't recommend this place unless you're okay with feeling cheated. I ordered two chicken souvlaki sticks and a Diet Coke to take away and ended up paying $16.95! After I left, I walked a few blocks to find a bench to eat, only to realize they gave me pork instead.
My cousin recommended this place to me while I was visiting him in New York, and I can confidently say that it did not disappoint! The food was excellent!
I would advise against dining at this restaurant. The prices appear to change based on the customer, and the cleanliness is noticeably lacking.

The hummus was absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed the Greek salad, grape leaves, lemon chicken soup, lentil soup, and the pita bread!
Some of the finest Greek cuisine I've ever tasted. I highly recommend it!
