Overall service and food were ok. However, although it was not very busy, our delivery was slow and disconnected. The hostess was not focused or attentive. The Gambia's appetizer and artichokes were successful as well was the Squid ink stew. How2ever, the branding was was not delivered until reminded that it was missing 10 minutes after the. Other mains and the filet was not hot, had several bones and a couple of scales. The server simply said Lo siento, sorry... no offer the remove or correct. Disappointing, and not the usual experience at the Andres restaurants... and we frequent them all.
I would like to see Jaleo return to the restaurant! The service was excellent, despite facing various challenges. The food, especially the bacalao, was outstanding. However, the callos were just okay and the shrimp had too much oil. The wine list on the website is inaccurate, and the list in the restaurant also had errors such as wrong vintages. I was disappointed that I couldn't take advantage of the 50% off wine bottles on Thursdays. Additionally, the tip suggestions were based on the pre-discount total. I hope Jaleo comes back soon!
I went to this restaurant for a late afternoon lunch and was greeted unenthusiastically by a dull hostess. However, things improved from there. It was my first time there and I was excited to check out the menu, which included all-day breakfast options and a variety of entrees and smaller plates. I had my eye on the soup special but unfortunately it was sold out after I placed my order, which was disappointing. However, everything we did try was delicious! The prices were a bit high for a diner, such as $5 for an iced tea.
This was our first time at José Andreas?s Spanish Diner, and we are definitely now going to be return customers. We love José?s restaurants because of his creativity, excellent food and generous philanthropy. The decor was really fun and relaxed, with upscale food and drink presentations, incredible flavors and choices of both small plates and regular entrées, along with excellent service. Went for an early brunch on Father's Day. We ordered Macedonia de frutas, Tabla Iberica, breakfast sandwich, patatas bravas, and the Albondigas Con Tomate y Patatas Fritas. Everything arrived in a timely manner, the food was warm and delicious. Service was fabulous they even gave us a delicious flan on the house to help celebrate Father's Day!
The restaurant was good overall, although the music was too loud for my liking. I particularly enjoyed their French toast, as it was very soft and creamy. The fried cod with manchego was also delicious. I tried flan for the first time and found it to be great as well. The prices were reasonable, not too expensive.
I stopped by for some warm tea and dessert. I really enjoyed the mint tea, it was so refreshing in the cold weather, paired with the flan. It was a perfect combination for a light evening bite. The service was very friendly and quick. The ambience gives a feel good atmosphere. Highly recommended in Bethesda.
We had a great time. We were on our way to an early show and this was a great choice. Food was different than we were used to but very delicious! Since it was early there were few other patrons so it was quiet and the service was great!

Wow! Fantastic lunch! I just returned from Spain 6 weeks ago and was taken right back by the food and drink. Do not miss the white anchovies and chips and sherry! We can't wait to return.
